AC/DC Traveled Worldwide
AC/DC has been around for years; with adoring fans still following them around on tour. Most loyal fans know that the band is comprised of three brothers, but what many may not know is that they are originally from Scotland. In their younger years, the entire family moved to Melbourne, Australia, which is where the boys began to hone in on their love for music.
George Young tried, on his own, to become a successful musician, but he failed. His other two brothers, Angus and Malcolm were left behind during this phase of George’s life, but it wasn’t too long before the three joined back together and began to make a name for them. Not only are they stunningly talented, but comical at the same time. Did you know that they came up with their band name based on a sticker on a vacuum cleaner?
AC/DC’s 2008/2009 tour, which began in October of 2008 and ended towards the end of January in 2009, was a great success. They focused strictly on North America and ended their tour in none other than Nashville, TN. The Black Ice Tour commenced once again, but this time, it is a worldwide tour. Still full of energy and spice AC/DC puts on a great show for their fans. In fact, Angus is still known to jump around the stage, on his toes, in nothing but a pair of sneakers and shorts. With their latest worldwide tour, fans across the globe had the pleasure of seeing these antics with their own two eyes, even in Puerto Rico.
Tickets were readily available for just about every show with the exception of the Atlanta, Dallas, and San Juan shows. Atlanta tickets were made available on October 23, Dallas tickets on November 2, and San Juan on November 21. If you live in any of these cities, you should have jumped on the tickets when they came available, because they did not last long. On their next tour be sure to get tickets to watch Phill Rudd, Brian Johnson, Cliff Williams, Angus, and Malcolm perform at their best. AC/DC is a band worth seeing live, they are currently ranked as rock and rolls #5, have been voted as the 7th greatest rock and roll bands of all time, have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and have sold over 200-million records. They are no joke; they are true rock and roll.
Their record sales and number of fans come nowhere close to explaining what a phenomenal band AC/DC is. Whether you are 20 or 40 you have — most likely — heard of AC/DC; there not one of those bands that comes and goes without a whisper. AC/DC songs are amongst favorites played by guitarists, amateur or not. It has been just over 30 years and AC/DC is still the definition of rebel rock and roll, and will be for generations to come. Be sure to experience them play, they’ve never been better.
