Show Stopping Live Bands To Witness Performing Live
One of my favorite hobbies is going to see live bands give concerts. There bands I have seen once and wouldn’t rush back, whereas some bands I have seen many times. There are also those that I haven’t got around to seeing yet, but intend to.
If you are a concert lover like me, you may well live somewhere that is blessed with many live performances by artists of every genre. Here are just a few recommendations of artists I think you would enjoy seeing.
Modern instruments blend with Southern rock to make the music that My Morning Jacket play with great aplomb. This Kentucky band finds the mix perfectly and put on a helluva show.
Their trademark is the rawness and energy that the band and their lead singer Jim James pour into every performance. Songs are stretched out with great instrumentals and solos and a surrealist atmosphere prevails.
My second recommendation is actually a soloist who was once part of a band. He is called Ben Folds and is quite simply one of the greatest exponents of the piano that I have seen. Considering his instrument, he puts on some of the best shows I have ever seen live.
3So how do you play a piano? Sit on a stool and press the keys? Maybe ordinary pianists play like this, but Ben Folds is no ordinary pianist. He makes the piano come alive and puts on a show like you will never have seen before.
A band I have seen repeatedly and will continue to see is Pearl Jam. I highly recommend their show to anyone, its fantastic.
They are a band that really goes out of their way to please their fans. Their shows seamlessly mix classics from the 1990’s with their new stuff. They keep their prices down and always perform at their best.
